Microsoft Azure for Research is a suite of cloud computing services available to UNCG students, faculty, and staff that provides a reliable place to compute and store data and helps developers build, test, and deploy applications.
Not to be confused with other Azure computing services at UNCG, Azure for Research provides many services that are available to achieve research project objectives, such as Data Science Virtual Machines, Serverless Computing, Artificial Intelligence, Database Services, and High-Performance Computing (HPC).
UNCG faculty, staff, and students are eligible to access UNCG’s Azure for Research. However, only certain users can create or own an Azure resource group.
UNCG’s Azure for Research environment only permits and supports certain types of projects:

Existing Azure projects are accessed and managed by logging into portal.azure.com with UNCG credentials.
Faculty and staff may initiate new Azure research projects by contacting the CCI Lab (cci-lab-l@uncg.edu).
