Doris K. Wilmott enlisted in the Women's Army Auxiliary Corps prior to May 1943, when she attended basic training at Fort Devens, Massachusetts. Wilmott remained at Fort Devens through at least July 1943, and by October 1943 appears to have been stationed in North Africirca She remained in the Women's Army Corps into 1945.

Lee Wilson Collection
Lee Wilson (b. 1947), of Las Vegas, Nevada, served in the United States Women's Army Corps from 1966 to 1969 and the Army National Guard from 1979 to 1984. Lee Wilson was born in Las Vegas, Nevada, in January 1947. She joined the Army in 1966 in Belmont, California and was stationed at Fort McClellan, Alabama, and Fort Jackson, South Carolina, before being sent to Vietnam in January 1968. She served at Long Bihn until May of 1969 and discharged from Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, shortly thereafter. Wilson continued to serve in the Army National Guard from 1979 to 1984.

Lieutenant j.g. Helen Winfield was working as a secretarial assistant at the Columbia University Press in New York City when she joined the WAVES in early 1943. After basic training at South Hadley and a further two-month course in communications at Northampton, Massachusetts, Winfield served two years at the Port Director, New York.

Sherry Lynn Dodson Womack Papers
Sherry Lynn Dodson Womack (b. 1963), of Rockingham County, North Carolina, served in the United States Army from 1981-2004. In 2002, she was deployed to Kandahar, Afghanistan as a Combat Zone Triage Officer/ Special Forces Medical Liaison with 101st Airborne Air Assault Division. From 2007-2009, she was Deputy Commander of Clinical Services with the 261st Multifunctional Medical Battalion in Ballad, Iraq. She retired with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel and earned both the Legion of Merit and the Bronze Star Medal for her service.
