: Virgilia Williams Collection; Virgilia "Jill" Williams (1914-2003) of Grandview, Iowa, served in the United States Navy WAVES (Women Accepted for Volunteer Emergency Service) as a pharmacist's mate third class at Camp LeJeune, North Carolina, and an instructor of pharmacist's mates at the United States Naval Training School in the Bronx, New York, during World War II.

: Willie Mae Williams Collection; Willie Mae Williams (1912-2009) of Archer, Florida, served in the WAAC (Women's Auxiliary Army Corps) and the WAC (Women's Army Corps) from 1942 to 1945.

: Leah T. Willis Collection; Leah T. Willis, of Winston Salem, North Carolina, was a dietitian in the Army Women's Medical Specialist Corps during World War II.

: Wanda R. Wills Collection; Wanda Wills (1918-2003) of Sparta, North Carolina, was a nurse in the Army Nurse Corps (ANC) from 1940 to 1946 and 1948 to 1964.

: Doris K. Wilmott Collection; Doris K. Wilmott enlisted in the Women's Army Auxiliary Corps prior to May 1943, when she attended basic training at Fort Devens, Massachusetts. Wilmott remained at Fort Devens through at least July 1943, and by October 1943 appears to have been stationed in North Africirca She remained in the Women's Army Corps into 1945.

: Doris Dickens Wilson Collection; Doris Wilson (1920-2015), of Smithfield, North Carolina, served in the United States WAAC (Women's Auxiliary Army Corps) and the WAC (Women's Army Corps) during WWII.

: Edna Smith Wilson Collection; Edna Smith Wilson (1922-2008) of Plainfield, New Jersey, served in the Marine Corps Women's Reserve from 1943 to 1946.

: Katherine Elizabeth Raup Wilson Collection; Katherine Elizabeth Raup Wilson (b. 1947) of Monticello, Utah, served as a missile maintenance officer in the United States Air Force from 1977-1981.

: Lee Wilson Collection; Lee Wilson (b. 1947), of Las Vegas, Nevada, served in the United States Women's Army Corps from 1966 to 1969 and the Army National Guard from 1979 to 1984. Lee Wilson was born in Las Vegas, Nevada, in January 1947. She joined the Army in 1966 in Belmont, California and was stationed at Fort McClellan, Alabama, and Fort Jackson, South Carolina, before being sent to Vietnam in January 1968. She served at Long Bihn until May of 1969 and discharged from Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, shortly thereafter. Wilson continued to serve in the Army National Guard from 1979 to 1984.

: Helen Mary Winfield Collection; Lieutenant j.g. Helen Winfield was working as a secretarial assistant at the Columbia University Press in New York City when she joined the WAVES in early 1943. After basic training at South Hadley and a further two-month course in communications at Northampton, Massachusetts, Winfield served two years at the Port Director, New York.

: Kathryn Wirkus Collection; Lt. Col. Kathryn Wirkus of Miami, Florida, served in the United States Air Force from 1978 to 2006.

: Elizabeth Ryan Wiviott Collection; Elizabeth Ryan Wiviott (1921-2003) served in the United States Navy WAVES (Women Accepted for Volunteer Emergency Service) from 1943 to 1951.

: Sherry Lynn Dodson Womack Papers; Sherry Lynn Dodson Womack (b. 1963), of Rockingham County, North Carolina, served in the United States Army from 1981-2004. In 2002, she was deployed to Kandahar, Afghanistan as a Combat Zone Triage Officer/ Special Forces Medical Liaison with 101st Airborne Air Assault Division. From 2007-2009, she was Deputy Commander of Clinical Services with the 261st Multifunctional Medical Battalion in Ballad, Iraq. She retired with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel and earned both the Legion of Merit and the Bronze Star Medal for her service.

: Anna Jean Coomes Woods Collection; Jean Coomes Woods (1924-2014), of Alleghany County, North Carolina, served in the United States Navy WAVES (Women Accepted for Volunteer Emergency Service) from November 1943 until July 1946.

: World War I Diary; Unknown woman who served with the American Red Cross and was stationed in France during WWI, circa 1918-1919.

: Nancy Vestal Wrenn Collection; Nancy Vestal Wrenn (1922-2017), of Wilkes County and Southern Pines, North Carolina, served in the American Red Cross from 1945-1947.

: Barbara A. Wujciak Collection; Barbara Wujciak (b. 1961), of Elizabeth, New Jersey, attended the United States Naval Academy from 1980-1981. She joined in the United States Air Force Reserves in 2009.
